An engineer explained on TikTok what is the correct way to charge a cell phone so that the battery and its useful life last longer without being damaged. Pablo showed the big difference between connecting the USB cable to the device first or connecting the charger first. The video has had thousands of views and countless comments.

On his account @theworldbypablo he explained that “when you connect the cable to the mobile phone for the first time, a voltage spike is created which damages the device”. On the other hand, when the charger is first plugged into the wall, “the peak voltage is reduced because the circuit is already closed,” she noted.
