Although both parties had made progress, according to Moneycontrol, the deal was delayed with the CCI as such a large-scale investment in a market leader required regulatory approvals. Now that the approvals have been received, WeWork’s ownership structure in India will change. Currently, Embassy Group reportedly holds a 72.5 per cent majority stake in WeWork India, while the remaining 27.5 per cent is held by WeWork Global’s UK subsidiary 1 Ariel Way Limited.
