Amadeus is preparing to host a new Sanremo Festival, and in the meantime sheds light on a health problem he has been living with for years
The presenter of the moment: 2024 will also be the year of Amedeo Umberto Rita Sebastiani, aka Amedeo. The DJ, presenter and artistic director born in Ravenna in 1962 has always been showing exquisite enthusiasm every time he stands in front of a camera. He loves his work, Amadeus, and still gets excited every time he gets to present a show. Nonetheless, it is not always easy for him to face hosting a television program with confidence.

AND health problemor rather, a physical anomaly does not allow him to interface with certain situations with serenity; Amadeus himself spoke about it, confessing what it is the condition that limits it. The presenter told the Corriere della Sera to be a little hypochondriac. He hasn’t always been this way, but lately he often finds himself anxious about himself and his family.
“I have become a hypochondriac, I admit it, and my doctors know it: when I call them they have to see me and immediately tell me what I have”, declared the host. But the RAI presenter has a real problem limits his freedom in the studio. It is an eye problem, which Amadeus spoke about in a recent interview with MoreTV Amadeus: this health problem accompanies him all his life.
But it seems that until recently no one other than his friends and family knew about this physical limitation. In practice, the host of the Sanremo Festival explained that he was colour blind. The handler is therefore unable to distinguish some colours, especially red and green.

This visual defect is quite common, but in certain situations it can turn into a disabling limit. For Amadeus, color blindness becomes a serious problem when it comes to dressing: “I always wear blue for this very reasonso I don’t risk making inappropriate combinations“.

The presenter explained that in the closet only has two types of shirts: black and white. And then all dressed strictly in blue. “If not“, he continued, “I would risk making a fool of myself by pairing those who have nothing to do with each other”.
Amadeus also spoke about health in an interview given to Ok, greetings. In particular, he focused on an event relating to his childhood, which marked him deeply. The presenter admitted that he felt a miracle worker. “At the age of 7 I became seriously ill with nephritis and was between life and death. It was very hardthe doctors were pessimistic”, he said.
Amadeus also revealed that his condition was so serious that it pushed his parents, now in desperation, to rely on prayers to Santa Rita of Cascia. Despite being so small, the presenter clearly remembers that period. “And I remember that, even if everything ended for the best, in the following two years I had to give up running, letting loose, even playing sportsas, at that age, one loves to do so much”.
