The Cabinet of Ministers approved “Rules of technical operation of railway transport”.
Publika.az reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed a new decision in this regard.
The rules define the system of organizing the movement of trains, the construction and facilities of the railway transport infrastructure, the work of the railway traffic composition, as well as the basis of the activity of the railway transport workers during the technical operation of the general and non-general purpose railway transport in the Republic of Azerbaijan. The requirements of the rules apply to the work (services) related to the organization and (or) implementation of the transportation process for the users of the railway transport service, as well as the work (services) related to the repair of the railway traffic composition and technical equipment used in railway transport, the protection of the railway transport facilities and cargo. is mandatory for all legal entities, individual entrepreneurs and their employees (hereinafter – employees of railway transport).
According to the decision, the buildings and facilities of the railway infrastructure must be able to ensure the release of trains at the following maximum speeds:
– for passenger trains – 140 kilometers per hour;
– for refrigerator trains – 120 kilometers per hour;
– for freight trains – 90 kilometers per hour.
Also, depending on the constructions and technical conditions of the buildings and facilities, the following speeds are allowed to be set by the infrastructure owner to ensure the safe release of high-speed passenger trains on the areas of public railways that have been brought into compliance with the Regulations:
– for high-speed passenger trains – up to 200 kilometers per hour;
– for high-speed passenger trains – up to 250 kilometers per hour.
– By the infrastructure owner, the buildings and facilities in the areas of movement of such trains should be brought to a technically suitable state to ensure the release of freight trains at a speed of 90 kilometers per hour to 140 kilometers per hour.
