The home of the legend Pele, the greatest player in Brazilian history, in Sao Paulo became a hotbed for homeless people and thieves after the family abandoned it following his death in late 2022, as everything was stolen, including sanitary ware in the home’s bathrooms.
The house near Pernambuco Beach was the headquarters of the legend who won the World Cup three times since the early 1980s, after he left America and decided to stay with his family.
The lenses of the Brazilian website “Isto” took pictures of the house, which is worth more than a million US dollars, and it is in a deplorable condition, despite its large area, as it contains dozens of rooms in addition to a movie hall and a music studio, when the deceased decided to enter the world of singing.
Pele had many memories in this house, as he had some of his marriages there, and spent some time there with his last partner Marcia Aoki, who remained by his side until he closed his eyes for the last time.
The photos showed the large swimming pool very dirty, along with a broken Jacuzzi, while the thieves robbed the bathrooms and stole everything from them, even the sanitary materials.
Pele, who was chosen by the International Olympic Committee as the best athlete of the last century, passed away in December 2022, after suffering from cancer, at the age of 82.
