Al-Jazira and Abu Salim baskets excelled at the start of the new basketball league

Tripoli, March 9, 2024 (Libyan News) – Yesterday, Friday, the Al-Madina Club Hall witnessed the start of the first leg of the preliminary round for the third and fourth groups of the Libyan Basketball League for the new sports season 2023-2024, with two matches being held.

In the first match, the Al-Jazira team’s basket was able to outperform the University of Tripoli by a margin of (25) points, with a score of (75 vs. 50) points, within the first round competitions for the teams of the fourth group of the same tournament.

The interview, which was moderated by a trio of referees, consisting of “Walid Shayoub” as the first referee, and “Khaled Al-Sawadiq” as the second referee, in addition to “Mohamed Issa” as the third referee, in which Al-Jazira succeeded in excelling in all periods, starting with excelling in the first period by a difference of (11) points. , consolidating the victory in the second period by a difference of (6) points, while the result of the first half for Al-Jazira was (36 to 19) points.

Al-Jazira continued to excel in the second period, being able to end the second half in their favor with a score of (39 vs. 31) points, in addition to the fact that the third period was for Al-Jazira by half a basket and by (20 vs. 19) points, while the result of the fourth and final period was for them with a score of (19 vs. 12) point.

-Abu Salim passes Belkheir

In the first match of the Libyan Basketball League for the 2023-2024 sports season, the Abu Salim team defeated its counterpart, Belkhair, by a margin of (30) points, and by (86 to 56) points, in the first round competitions for the teams of the third group of the preliminary round of basketball.

Abu Salim’s basket dominated the course of the match in terms of the result, so that Abu Salim was able to achieve victory in the first quarter with a score of (24 vs. 16) points, and Abu Salim repeated its victory in the second quarter with a score of (17 vs. 10) points, so that the result of the first half was in favor of Abu Salim with a score of (41 vs. 26) point.

The offensive surge from Abu Salim towards Belkheir’s goal score did not stop, and this glow led him to win the third period with a score of (24 vs. 19) points, so that the sum of the three periods was in favor of Abu Salim with a score of (65 vs. 45) points, so that Abu Salim concluded the final period by beating Belkhair with a score of ( 21 for 11) points.
