The Training and Methods Committee of the Bahrain Handball Federation, in cooperation with the Asian Handball Federation, held a meeting via video call (Zoom) about the programs of the upcoming courses for the international C and B licenses.

A large number of Bahraini coaches participated in the meeting, where international lecturer Dr. Nabil Taha explained all the details related to the training courses that will be organized by the Bahrain Handball Federation in the second half of this year.

The international lecturer, Dr. Khaled Al-Sharji, also spoke about the strategy for developing training education in the continent of Asia as a transitional stage in the period between 2024-2025, and the most prominent goals that the Asian Confederation seeks, namely increasing the number of coaches holding international licenses, and structuring international lecturers on the continent of Asia, led by Dr. Nabil Taha, in addition to the approved plan for the transitional phase, and the distribution of Asian countries into six regions.

Al-Sharji pointed out that holding these courses in an accelerated manner came with exceptional approval from the International Handball Federation, as the rescheduling of holding the courses will begin by applying a certain number of years for enrollment from one license to another.

He revealed that the Kingdom of Bahrain has obtained approval to organize the C round next June, and the B round representing West Asia next November.

For his part, Chairman of the Training and Methods Committee at the Hand Federation, Abdul Razzaq Khalil, praised the great cooperation and efforts made by Dr. Nabil Taha in his direct follow-up of the work of these courses and his keenness to ensure that the largest possible number of Bahraini trainers obtain training licenses, praising at the same time the great cooperation from Dr. Khaled Al-Sharji accepted the invitation to participate in the meeting and presented a valuable, comprehensive lecture on the same topic, in addition to answering all the coaches’ inquiries and clarifying the full picture of the AFC’s strategy in this aspect.

Khalil also thanked Dr. Issam Abdullah and Mr. Ali Al-Anzoor for their cooperation with the Federation in this regard, reiterating his reminder to all coaches to fill out the form approved by the AFC and attach all academic and scientific certificates as soon as possible.
