The Red Sea International Film Festival revealed the opening of applications for films to participate in the fourth session of the festival, which is scheduled to be held from December 5 to 14, 2024, at the festival’s new and vibrant headquarters, “Al-Balad,” historic Jeddah. The Red Sea International Film Festival invites both established film names and emerging filmmakers from Saudi Arabia, the Arab world, Africa and Asia; They must submit their applications starting from May 7, until August 22, 2024 AD, with the early application period ending by July 5, 2024 AD.
The festival is looking forward to receiving distinctive and unique cinematic projects, highlighting captivating narratives from different states, countries and languages, as part of its mission to celebrate the film industry locally and internationally. Filmmakers can submit their applications today within the following cinematic sections: “The Red Sea Feature Film Competition” and The “Red Sea Short Film Competition” in addition to the “New Saudi Cinema” section, which is concerned with highlighting the most prominent cinematic talents and creativity of Saudi filmmakers.
Films participating in the Red Sea International Film Festival will compete for the prestigious Yusr Awards, including the Yusr Golden Award for Best Feature Film worth US$100,000, in addition to other awards such as: Best Direction Award, Jury Award, and the Yusr Golden Award for Best Short Film. .
For his part, Mohammed Al Turki, CEO of the Red Sea Film Foundation, said: “We are proud to provide a wide variety of sections and opportunities for emerging directors and filmmakers to showcase their cinematic creativity in our festival, and that is our highest priority at the Red Sea Film Foundation, and we are looking forward to seeing the participating films. You can submit your cinematic projects without any additional fees during the early registration phase, which lasts until the end of July 5, 2024 AD, after which a fee of 100 Saudi riyals (including value-added tax) will apply for short films, and 200 Saudi riyals (including value-added tax) for long films.

Red Sea Feature Film Competition
