His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Thamer Al Kaabi, Minister of Transport and Communications, and Mr. Khalid Amr Al Rumaihi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aluminum Bahrain B.S.C., signed the agreement. (Alba), one of the largest and leading aluminum smelters in the world, has been awarded a golden sponsorship contract for the Bahrain International Airshow 2024, which is scheduled to be held under the royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, at the Sakhir Air Base in the Kingdom of Bahrain. From November 13 to 15, 2024, and organized by the Ministry of Transport and Communications and the Royal Bahraini Air Force, in cooperation with the British company Vanbroa.
His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Thamer Al Kaabi, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, expressed his pride in the support provided by Alba, stressing the importance of their participation in the Bahrain International Airshow as an example of the vital role played by Bahraini companies in the aviation industry and in the success of the show, in addition to their continuous support for the Bahrain International Airshow.
For his part, Mr. Khalid Amr Al Rumaihi, Chairman of Alba’s Board of Directors, said: “We are pleased to continue our sponsorship of the Bahrain International Airshow, this exceptional event that has become a regional and international beacon that effectively contributes to enhancing Bahrain’s prestigious position on the global aviation industry map, and driving the development and growth of this vital sector at the Kingdom level.
He added: “Over the past years, we have witnessed successive successes achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain in organizing sessions of this important exhibition, which clearly reflects the leading position that the Kingdom occupies in the field of aviation exhibitions, and its exceptional capabilities in attracting senior experts and professionals in this field from all over the world.”
It is worth noting that the exhibition has achieved success in the past six sessions in attracting an elite group of Bahraini companies to sponsor the Bahrain International Airshow, which in turn helped in activating the presence at the local, regional and international levels.
