Al Bilad newspaper The House of Representatives holds its twenty-third regular session in the second annual session of the sixth legislative term – 2024-03-06 09:42:58

This morning, His Excellency Mr. Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam, Speaker of the House of Representatives, chaired the twenty-third regular session of the second annual session of the sixth legislative term.

Following the session, His Excellency Counselor Rashid Mohammed Bongma, Secretary-General of the House of Representatives, made the following statement:

In the decrees-law clause, the Council discussed:

1) Report of the Foreign Affairs, Defense and National Security Committee regarding Decree Law No. (14) of 2023 amending some provisions of Law No. (16) of 2014 regarding the protection of state information and documents. The Council decided to approve the Decree Law and refer it to the Shura Council.

2) Report of the Services Committee regarding Decree Law No. (12) of 2023 amending Article (4) of Law No. (38) of 2009 establishing the National Authority for Regulating Health Professions and Services, and the Council decided to approve the Decree Law and refer it to the Shura Council.

In the section on investigation committee reports:

1) The final report of the parliamentary investigation committee regarding medical services in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Council decided to approve the committee’s proposals and refer them to the government.

In the “News of Action” section, the following was discussed:

1) A request to issue a statement from the House of Representatives expressing its pride and honor on the occasion of the silver jubilee of His Majesty the King assuming the reins of power. The House decided to approve the inclusion of the request on the agenda under the item “New Business” and to authorize the House of Representatives office to prepare and issue the statement.

2) A request to issue a statement praising the efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the operation to deliver aid to the people of Gaza (Operation Amr bin Al-Aas), and the Council decided to approve the inclusion of the request on the agenda under the item of new business and to authorize the Council’s office to prepare and issue the statement.
