In implementation of the order of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, to open, restore and rehabilitate 32 mosques affiliated with the Sunni and Jaafari Endowments Departments, in all governorates of the Kingdom of Bahrain, within the framework of the mosques and mosques development plan, His Excellency Mr. Yousef bin Saleh inaugurated Al-Saleh, Chairman of the Jaafari Endowments Council, today, Thursday, Abu Sobh Mosque in the Duraz area, in the presence of members of the Jaafari Endowments Council, the Governor of the Northern Governorate, His Excellency Mr. Ali bin Sheikh Abdul Hussein Al-Asfour, the Chairman of the Municipal Council of the Northern Region Municipality, Dr. Sayyed Shubr Ibrahim Al-Wadaei, MP Jalal Kazem, a member of the Municipal Council, Mr. Bassem Abu Idris, and the Director The administration, engineer Mr. Muhammad Jaafar Al-Husseini, and a number of residents.
During the opening ceremony of the mosque, the head of the Jaafari Endowments praised the great attention paid by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Great King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, to places of worship, their reconstruction, preparation and maintenance. Believing in the importance of the great mission that the mosque carries out in building society, establishing religious rituals, and promoting the values and ideals that embody the tolerant Sharia.
Al-Saleh pointed out that the construction and reconstruction of the Houses of God reflects the interest of the Kingdom of Bahrain in elevating the Houses of God Almighty, appreciating the role of those in charge of the mosque, the owners of the white hands, and the honorable philanthropists for the community partnership they embodied by sponsoring the construction of this mosque, pointing out that the construction, construction and maintenance of mosques are for the sake of closeness and the greatest obedience.
Al-Saleh praised the order of His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to launch a development plan for places of worship in all governorates of the Kingdom of Bahrain, as an embodiment of the leadership of His Majesty the King of the country, may God protect and preserve him, in terms of permanent care for places of worship in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The President of the Jaafari Endowments also praised the initiatives of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, headed by His Excellency Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, and the interest of His Excellency Mr. Nawaf bin Mohammed Al-Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, in following up on the implementation of the generous directives regarding the construction, reconstruction and maintenance of mosques and mosques in various regions of Bahrain.
Al-Saleh said: “It gives us great pleasure to meet you in this holy month to open the Abu Subh Mosque after the completion of the rebuilding by those in charge of it and the generosity of the honorable benefactors. We are overwhelmed with happiness at the opening of this blessed edifice of faith, which, with God’s help, will be a beacon of worship and goodness.”
For their part, those in charge of the mosque and the people expressed their overwhelming happiness at the opening of the mosque, praising the directives of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, to facilitate the procedures for opening the mosque and the close cooperation of all official and civil authorities and honorable benefactors, which contributed to facilitating the procedures in completing this blessed edifice.
It is worth noting that the mosque consists of two floors, and includes a main prayer hall for men and a prayer hall for women. The mosque can accommodate 1,120 worshippers, in addition to the availability of integrated service facilities.
