The Council approved what was discussed, and after the representatives’ interventions, unanimously adopted the final account report for the year 2022 and submitted the observations contained in the report to the government.
Representative Muhammad Al-Ahmad pointed out that the final account report for the year 2022 is the first final account to reduce the public debt.
He stated, “We have been dreaming for many years that the public debt would decrease, and when the government makes commendable efforts to reduce this debt, we should be thankful for that.”
He added: The government made efforts to reduce the public debt and reduced the debt to 16.7 billion dinars, and the correct message that the Council must convey to the government is that whenever there are efforts to reduce the public debt, the Council will be with the government.
