As the war in the Gaza Strip approaches its seventh month, Enrique Mora, assistant foreign policy official in the European Union, said on Sunday that Israel must be aware of the necessity of establishing a homeland for the Palestinians, otherwise there will be a final catastrophe, stressing that the matter will have an impact on everyone for decades.
“I am not sure whether the Israeli authorities realize that this will be a turning point after which the old strategy will end,” Mora wrote on the X platform.
He added, “Either a homeland for the Palestinians, meaning a state, or a catastrophe forever… and this choice will affect us all and will reverberate for decades.”
Israel has continued its attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7, as the Air Force carried out 80 raids in various parts of the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours.
He explained in a statement that his raids targeted military buildings and infrastructure of Palestinian organizations, and the army said that it killed dozens of militants during the raids and ground operation taking place in various areas of the Gaza Strip. He continued that he killed militants in the Shifa Hospital area in the Gaza Strip. He also confirmed the continuation of his operations in the Al-Rimal neighborhood in Gaza City, saying that anti-tank missiles were fired from the area, announcing the killing of one of the militants who carried out the launching operation.
According to the latest Gaza health toll, the death toll as a result of the Israeli bombing of the Strip has risen to 32,705 since the start of the war on October 7, while the number of injured has reached 75,190.
