Dr. Ibrahim Yousef, Assistant Undersecretary for Livestock at the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, reviewed the progress of sacrificial slaughter in various regions of the Kingdom of Bahrain, in accordance with the followed and approved plan to facilitate the ritual of sacrifice.

The Assistant Undersecretary for Livestock said that follow-up on the detection of carcasses will continue to ensure their safety for consumption for a period of three days, in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Health, and municipalities, to ensure convenience and ease for the sacrificers.

He added that teams were formed for veterinary health inspection of the carcasses on the days of Eid al-Adha, distributing them to the slaughter places and scheduling their work throughout the Eid period. Coordination was also made with the Ministry of the Interior to provide community service patrols to organize and monitor the masses of citizens and residents who perform the ritual of sacrifice, in addition to coordination with cleaning companies. To provide containers for proper sanitary disposal of slaughter waste.

The Assistant Undersecretary for Livestock indicated that there is periodic health and veterinary supervision over the work of slaughterhouses and slaughter operations, as the carcasses are inspected before and after slaughter, stressing that doctors have been provided to examine the carcasses to ensure their safety for human consumption, and an agreement has been made with livestock traders to monitor the slaughter sites from Before veterinarians and confirmed by specialists in the veterinary quarries department to ensure its readiness for slaughter from a logistical and technical standpoint.
