The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Washington, through the podcast, focused on the strength of the bilateral relationship and the strategic partnership that brings together the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America, noting that it is the result of 52 years of diplomatic relations, stressing that the Kingdom of Bahrain does not only share a security relationship with the United States of America, It also promotes trade, investment and economic opportunities.
His Excellency also referred to many agreements between the two countries, such as the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA), pegging the Kingdom of Bahrain’s currency to the US dollar, the free trade agreement, and the upcoming opening of the United States of America trade zone in the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting the Kingdom of Bahrain’s hosting of the Fifth Fleet. The US Navy actively participates in joint military initiatives, which underscores the depth of this partnership.
His Excellency also referred to the presence of the American community in the Kingdom of Bahrain since the late nineteenth century and the lasting contributions to its institutions such as the American Mission Hospital and the schools established by American missionaries, highlighting the recent cooperation between King Hamad American Mission Hospital and the Mayo Clinic in the United States of America, as evidence of ongoing partnerships. .
