In detail, Ukraine obtained permission from the United States to use American and German weapons to strike Russian territory, but with “restrictions,” according to what our correspondent said.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s press secretary, Sergei Nikiforov, told The Guardian newspaper that this decision allows Ukraine to use “HIMARS” missile systems to strike Russian forces and command and control centers near the Kharkiv region.
A source close to Zelensky also stated, “Washington agreed that we bomb targets inside Russian territory.”
US President Joe Biden gave Ukraine the green light to use American munitions to strike targets inside Russia for a limited purpose, which is to defend Kharkiv.

Medvedev to NATO: This is not a nuclear hoax
In Moscow, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, said in a post on Telegram that the current military conflict with the West is developing according to the worst possible scenarios.
“Western countries that appear to have ‘agreed to use’ their long-range weapons deep into Russian territory (regardless of old or newly annexed territories) must clearly understand that:
All military equipment and specialists fighting against us on the territory of (former) Ukraine or on the territory of any other countries will be destroyed if attacks on Russian territory are carried out from there.
Russia is based on the fact that all long-range weapons used by the former Ukraine are today under direct military control of NATO countries. That is, this is not “military assistance” at all, but rather participation in the war against us, and such actions may become a cause for war.
NATO will have to decide how to classify the consequences of potential retaliatory strikes on military equipment/facilities/personnel in each bloc country in the context of Articles 4 and 5 of the Washington Treaty.
Medvedev added, “In all likelihood, the NATO leadership wants to pretend that the talk is about sovereign decisions of individual countries in the alliance to support the Kiev regime, and there is no reason to apply the rule of the 1949 Treaty on collective defense, and these are wrong, dangerous and harmful concepts,” according to what was reported by the Russia Today website.
