Bahraini women from the Bahrain Khair Products Center, affiliated with the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, prepare 250 breakfast meals for fasting people daily. Charitable and humanitarian programs specialist at the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, Maryam Al-Barjas, said that a fasting breakfast project was started in the year 2022 and that they are continuing it under the supervision of a group of orphans and widows members of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation.
She pointed out that the cooperation brings together the products of Khair Al Bahrain and the National Capabilities Company, as 250 iftar meals for fasting people are prepared daily by Bahraini hands.
She extended her sincere thanks and appreciation to the Preservation of Grace Association, which is a major supporter. She confirmed that “Product of Khair Bahrain” is open to entities from the public or private sectors.
For his part, Chef Shawqi Ahmed, a chef trainer, said that he is undertaking the task of training Bahraini cadres in international multi-cuisines, pointing out that he began training a group of female trainees about 3 years ago and their number exceeded 100 or 120 trainees.
In addition, Samia Yousef, a member of the Najt Khair Bahrain Centre, said that she prepares meals, samosas, and pies.
She pointed out that they cook 30 kilograms of rice daily, and that a work plan is prepared one day before regarding the meal that they will prepare.
Intisar Sayed Jaafar, a member of the Bahrain Khair Products Centre, said that she and the rest of the workers working on the Fasting Iftar project are at the work site from eight in the morning to work on the meals, and by three in the afternoon they return to their homes, that is, after they have finished cooking and preparing the meals for distribution.
She expressed her happiness at being chosen to participate in preparing iftar meals for fasting people and contributing to doing good deeds.
