Artists and critics participating in the Monodrama Festival currently being held in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg expressed their admiration and praise for the creative theatrical show presented by the Kingdom of Bahrain during the festival’s activities.
They pointed out that the distinguished and unique acting performance presented by the artist Reem Wannous is a milestone in the festival. They explained that the show amazed the audience and excelled in all the technical details and directorial visions. In addition, it demonstrated the high status that culture and art hold in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
They confirmed that the theatrical performance presented by the Gilgamesh Theater, represented by the play (Existence), is one of the masterpieces of the Petersburg Festival this year. They added that the work was able to find great approval among artists, critics, and the public due to its distinction and uniqueness in idea, performance, and direction from many of the works presented to date.
It is noteworthy that the play (Wojoud), which was well-received during its presentation at the festival, was written by Dr. Kazem Munis. And scenography and direction by Mr. Jamal Al-Ghailan. And the performance and acting of the artist Reem Wanous; And the music of the artist Salem Al-Jarh. And Nadia Al-Mallah’s poems. The head of the delegation, the director of production, Mohsen Al-Haiki, and the general coordination, Mr. Ibrahim Al-Jaradi, were supervised by Ali Al-Rumaihi, while the translation into Russian was prepared by Alexandra Bazyak.
