Information Minister Ramzan Al-Nuaimi affirmed that the prosperity and comprehensive development witnessed by the Bahraini press at all levels comes as a translation of what the Kingdom of Bahrain is witnessing under the wise leadership of the country’s great monarch, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, in terms of a comprehensive renaissance in all fields, and a reflection of what he attaches importance to. The Minister of Information added that the support that the Bahraini press receives from the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has provided it with the capabilities that enable it to perform its national role with all competence and competence within a framework of commitment to professional standards, praising His Highness’s support for the national press. This came in a statement by the Minister of Information on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, which falls on the third of May of each year, and Bahraini Press Day on the seventh of May of each year, congratulating journalists and media professionals on this occasion, wishing them further success and success.
The Minister of Information said that World Press Freedom Day constitutes an important occasion that is renewed annually to celebrate the press and national journalistic cadres, who perform a noble mission in the service of the nation, and their success in being an essential partner and supporter of the comprehensive development process witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain under the wise leadership of His Majesty the King.
The Minister of Information expressed his sincere appreciation and gratitude for the lofty speech addressed by His Majesty the King of the country, on this occasion, and the lofty contents and visions it contained that constitute an approach to the work of the press and media sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and a beacon for those working in this vital sector at the regional and international levels, stressing that praising His Majesty the King, the Ministry of Information and the workers in the press and media sector are a place of appreciation, gratitude, and a badge of pride on the chests of all of us, and we bear a double responsibility to continue giving and giving in order to achieve the aspirations of His Majesty and implement his bright visions.
The Minister of Information confirmed that the selection of “Manama as the Capital of Arab Media 2024” was a translation of the extent of Arab appreciation for the leading position the media sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain has achieved, regionally and internationally, and the development it is witnessing at all levels, in light of the sound directives and high patronage of His Majesty the King.
