I am a citizen (the data is with the editor). I appeal to the relevant authorities to look into my matter, as I have been living with my three brothers and my mother since 2011 in a temporary apartment that is about to collapse, and its construction is estimated to be 45 years old. Our housing application for the house dates back to the 1980s, and it was supposed to be accepted, but it was not completed. Completing the procedures for handing over the house, as when reviewing the application in the year 2005, we were informed that the reason we did not benefit from the housing unit was because of my father’s work in self-employment, so there is no income from which to deduct monthly, and therefore the application was transferred in my name, as I am the eldest of my brothers and the only one who works. In the family, in 2007 my father died without benefiting from the housing unit.

After the death of my father – may God have mercy on him – the issue of reviewing our entitlement to a housing unit, constantly updating the data, and providing the Ministry of Housing with the required papers began. In 2011, an inspector was sent by the Ministry to inspect the temporary apartment in which we currently live, and he told us that it became clear to him that the apartment was empty of residents. It has been a long time since the water and electricity were cut off, but I assured him that we live in the apartment, and he advised me to go to the Ministry of Housing to confirm this.

I went back to the Ministry of Housing to update the data, and it was another shock when they in turn told me that it was clear in the system that my mother was not of Bahraini nationality, so the application was not approved, but I confirmed to them that my mother was Bahraini nationality, and after several reviews at the Information and e-Government Authority, the error was corrected. .

After further visits to the Ministry of Housing, specifically in the year 2020, they informed us that the housing application had been cancelled, since my mother had an inherited property. Accordingly, I submitted proof that my mother had given up her share of the legal obligation in favor of one of her brothers, noting that the area of the inherited property was only 18 square metres, that is, the size of a small room. To cancel the housing application, the area of the inherited property must be 118 square meters or more.

From here I began another journey to prove that my mother had sold her share for the benefit of one of her brothers. I brought the required legal ownership certificate to the Ministry of Housing, which proves the transfer of ownership of an area of 18 square meters of the property inherited from my mother, from her father to my uncle, and I requested to revive my housing application, but my request It is still within the Grievances Review Committee, and no decision has been reached regarding it, despite my continuous reviews of the application and the confirmation of all the workers with whom I dealt during the past three years that the papers I submitted and the procedures I followed were correct.

Note that the temporary apartment in which we currently live, which is estimated to be more than 40 years old, will be demolished during the coming period, and we do not even know what our fate will be with the dream house that we have been waiting for for 44 years.
