The Ministry of Finance and National Economy said in its response to the question submitted by MP Ahmed Sabah Al-Salloum about the economic recovery plan that it is in implementation of the call of the King of the country, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, may God protect and preserve him, and after the announcement of the distinguished Council of Ministers headed by the Crown Prince and Prime Minister His Excellency His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, may God protect him, the economic recovery plan was launched in late October of 2021, which was based on 5 priorities and 27 programs.
She added, “22 out of 27 programs within the economic recovery plan have been completed in coordination with the relevant authorities for implementation.”
The Ministry continued, “The government is keen to take into account the views of all concerned parties in the public sector, as well as the private sector through the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, when drawing up national policies and programmes, including the economic recovery plan.”
She continued, “This contributed to unifying aspirations and consensus on the next steps necessary to implement all programs and initiatives of the economic recovery plan.” Government agencies are also keen to follow up on implementation, through which periodic reports on developments are prepared, and then submitted to the relevant ministerial committees on an ongoing basis, so that those concerned can take the required measures.”
The Ministry of Finance and National Economy added, “Work is being done to complete the remaining programs within the economic recovery plan, and we are keen to implement them within the time frame set for them. Coordination is also taking place between the legislative and executive authorities to complete joint programs, such as an initiative to enhance the fairness and efficiency of direct government support to those entitled to it, through the joint committee.” between the two authorities regarding restructuring government support.”

She added, “With regard to the implementation of strategies for promising sectors, the implementation of these strategies is followed up in coordination with the ministries and implementing agencies, and the performance indicators for each strategy are reviewed and updated whenever necessary and according to the changes in the stage.”
