Paul Ince, former England captain, believes that Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, who plays for Liverpool, is just an ordinary player, and that what only serves him is scoring goals.

Ince was known as the first black captain for the England national team in 1993. He also played for Manchester United, Liverpool and Inter Milan between the late 1980s and the late 1990s.

Paul Ince, the English Premier League and European Cup Winners’ Cup champion with Manchester United, said in an interview with Talk Sport radio: Salah cannot be described as a world-class player. His numbers are amazing, but for me he does not belong to the elite.

He continued: When he receives the ball with his left foot to pass it into the penalty area, he makes mistakes and executes his passes incorrectly. This is one of his biggest flaws.

Salah, Liverpool’s fifth-highest scorer in history, scored 23 goals in all matches during the current season despite suffering a long injury at the beginning of this year, and about that he says: If we want to classify him as a first-class scorer, he deserves it, as his goals do not stop.

Salah scored 209 goals with Liverpool in 340 matches, while his team ranks second in the English Premier League this season, and has reached the quarter-finals of the European League, where it will face the Italian Atalanta on Thursday.
