The local referees committee of the Asian Volleyball Challenge Cup held its coordination meeting at the Bahrain International Development Center in preparation for the tournament that the Kingdom will host during the period from May 30 to June 10, at the Issa bin Rashid Sports Hall in Riffa.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Rashid Jaber, who praised the presence of the referees and their keenness to participate in the success of the tournament through their full commitment to the meeting in the presence of all local referees, which reflects the spirit of one family experienced by the Bahraini arbitration and Bahraini volleyball family, headed by His Excellency Major General Sheikh Ali bin Mohammed. During the meeting, instructions for the tournament and important guidelines were provided before its launch, in order for the committee to ensure the success of the tournament and to appear in an honorable manner that befits the reputation of Bahraini arbitration in particular and the Kingdom’s hosting of various international and continental tournaments.
Jaber said, “The local referees committee aimed to arrange all the matters that preceded the start of the tournament, by holding a consultative meeting with the referees, which aimed to identify the needs of the referees and determine their readiness to participate, which is what the committee sensed through the keenness of all the referees to be present, as it works The committee will arrange the referees’ schedule for the tournament in a way that suits the circumstances, the number of matches and their timing.”
The head of the Salt Referees Committee indicated that the committee settled on appointing two line referees for each match, and said, “The reliance will be on line monitors in each match, which was explained to the referees during the meeting, while taking advantage of the presence of video challenge technology in the tournament, with the need for the referees to cooperate.” The lines and table referees with the refereeing crews in the matches, in order to appear in the best way in each match, which is what the committee aims to achieve in this tournament.”
Jaber pointed out, “It is scheduled that there will be a final rehearsal for the referees next Saturday in the presence of the tournament refereeing committee and the participating referees, in line with what is followed in continental championships. We stressed the necessity of all referees attending to enter the tournament atmosphere and get to know the refereeing committee and the participating referees.”
Jaber said, “The tournament requires the solidarity of everyone, in addition to supporting the referees to appear in an honorable manner, as they are accustomed to in every competition hosted by Bahrain. The local referees committee aimed to hold an electronic registration workshop to determine the ability of male and female registrants to carry out the tasks assigned to them before the official start of the Asian battle, and in a way that ensures contribution.” In the Kingdom’s success in the organizational aspect and obtaining the best ratings from the Asian Football Confederation, similar to the distinguished rating that Bahrain obtained in the organizational aspect in previous tournaments, and in line with the trends of the Asian Football Confederation for the modern game and its reliance heavily on direct electronic registration.”
Regarding the preparations of the local referees committee for the Asian Championship, Jaber indicated that in its first meeting, the committee set points on the letters regarding the participation of local referees in the Asian Championship matches as line observers, scorers, assistant registrars, supervisors, and matters related to the arbitration aspect.
Jaber continued by saying that the Referees Committee submitted its needs to the Executive Committee of the tournament in order to complete it so that the arbitration side appears as expected, as well as inventorying the needs of tools. He indicated that the Referees Committee will coordinate with those responsible for ball catchers and dryers to prepare them for the tournament on the work mechanism that will be followed during the course of the confrontations.
It should be noted that international referee Sami Suwaid will represent the Bahraini referee in the tournament, while Ahmed Abdel-Aal and Ahmed Thamer will participate in the crew that will be present to take charge of the video challenge technology during the tournament.

On Wednesday, teams begin arriving in the Kingdom to participate in the tournament

The Asian teams participating in the Asian Volleyball Challenge Cup tournament will begin their arrival to the Kingdom starting Wednesday, as the Qatari team is scheduled to be the first to arrive in the Kingdom on Wednesday afternoon, as the first Asian teams to arrive, while the South Korean team will also arrive on Wednesday evening.
The current edition of the Asian Championship includes 12 teams distributed into 4 groups, competing to qualify for the quarter-finals directly.
The Asian teams will continue to arrive in the Kingdom during Thursday and Friday, and the arrival of the teams will be completed on Friday with the arrival of the Pakistani team as the last participating team to arrive according to the initial dates sent by the participating teams for their arrival dates in the Kingdom.
The tournament committees are working to prepare all arrangements to receive successive teams, in coordination between the Public Relations Committee, the Transportation Committee, and the tournament’s housing committee, where the teams will settle in the Gulf Court tournament hotel upon their arrival in the Kingdom.
On the other hand, the Asian Volleyball Confederation delegation is scheduled to begin arriving in the Kingdom from the day after tomorrow, Thursday, until Friday, and the general meeting will be held after the technical committee is completed with the arrival of all members, as well as the teams, in preparation for the start of the championship competitions next Sunday in a way. Al-Haiki: A difficult and anticipated version of the Asian Challenge Cup

The director of the national volleyball team, Mohamed Al-Haiki, stressed the difficulty of this edition of the Asian Volleyball Challenge Cup, and said, “This edition is expected to be stronger than the previous ones due to the presence of strong teams with a history in the game, which heralds a strong edition and great competition between the teams for promotion.” “To the final match and the search for the Asian title, especially since the champion qualifies to participate in the upcoming Volleyball World Challenge Cup.”
Al-Haiki added, “There is no significant difference between the current version and the previous one. All teams participate in the first round and are keen to compete for the title. Regarding the final list of the national team, he said, “The current list that was chosen by the technical staff of the national team, led by Argentine coach Khoji Ilta, includes the best players and their equipment in the current period, and we hope that the national team will deliver the performance and desired results in this edition and compete for the title, after obtaining the position.” The second in the last edition held in Taipei, China.”

We are very confident in the public stance that does not need an invitation, as the fans will be keen to raise the morale of our players and mobilize them to contribute to achieving success.
