For her part, Fatima Al-Haiki, owner of a store that sells alternatives to gold and diamonds, indicated that the main reason for women’s desire to buy plated gold is due to the high cost of gold in the markets, which prompts them to choose an alternative to it, pointing out that the store offers a wide variety of models that are similar to gold designs. The original, with prices starting from two dinars to 60 dinars, and she explained that what makes the store’s designs distinctive is that their colors and luster are very similar to the original and do not change when exposed to water, confirming that the store’s sales during the holidays increase by 70% compared to normal days.
Customer Maryam Mohsen pointed out that her budget for the holiday season is almost limited, which results in her resorting to an alternative to gold, which saves her from spending huge amounts of money to prepare for events. She pointed out that she buys original gold when its price drops, and if she wants to buy on other days, she resorts to plated gold.
Customer Zeina Jassim said that she chooses plated gold for her little daughter instead of the original gold, explaining that she wants her daughter to feel comfortable playing without fear of losing the precious original gold, pointing out that the prices of plated gold are very reasonable and that it can be purchased throughout the year without taking into consideration the price of gold.
Customer Hoda Khalaf explained that the gold alternative offers some distinctive designs that cannot be obtained ready-made from stores that sell original gold, in addition to its appropriate prices that are accessible to everyone, as a woman can buy more than one piece of plated gold for the price of one piece of original gold. .
