Recent statistics revealed that the Kingdom of Bahrain outperformed the Gulf region in the rate of women’s participation in technical and professional jobs at a rate of 48.4%, according to recently published International Labor Organization data, which includes the total number of women in each country, regardless of their nationality. The State of Qatar came in the center. The first in the Arab and Gulf countries, with a women’s participation rate of 68.6% of the total workforce, followed by the United Arab Emirates with a rate of 60.9%, then the State of Kuwait with a rate of 53.9%, then the Kingdom of Bahrain with a rate of 48.4%, then the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a rate of 40.1%, then the Sultanate of Oman with a rate It reached 37.8% for the group over 25 years of age, while for the group between 15 and 24 years of age, statistics indicated that the participation rate of women in Bahrain reached 26.8%, ranking third in the Gulf. The State of Qatar came in first place in the Gulf, in this category, with a rate of 42.8%, followed by the United Arab Emirates with 30.4%, while the State of Kuwait came in fourth place in the Gulf, with a rate of 15.8%, then the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with 15.5%, then the Sultanate of Oman by 14.1%.
On the other hand, the report of the Gulf Statistical Center indicated that Bahrain ranked second in the Gulf in terms of the percentage of women working in the government sector.
Statistics indicated that the percentage of Bahraini women working in the government sector reached 56.3%, while the State of Kuwait came in first place in the Gulf with a rate of 57.8%, then the United Arab Emirates came third with a rate of 51.4%, then the State of Qatar came in fourth place with a rate of 38.9%. Then came the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a rate of 38.7%, then the Sultanate of Oman with a rate of 25.4%.
