Al-Khabaz’s Kitchen team won the 35th Summer Football Championship, organized by the Abu Saiba Youth Empowerment Center at Al-Khabaz Stadium, in the Abu Saiba area.
The Al-Khabaz Kitchen team was crowned champion, after defeating the Abu Saiba Plants and Flowers team in the final match with a score of (4-2) in a penalty shootout, after a goalless draw in regular time, in a match that witnessed a distinguished audience presence.
The coronation ceremony was attended by the Ministry of Youth Affairs: Head of Youth and Sports Support Muhammad Al-Muharraqi, Head of the Sports Services Group Muhammad Al-Jalahma, Youth Activities Specialist Akbar Al-Saibai, Member of the Fifth District of the Northern Governorate Municipal Council Tariq Al-Farasani, and Head of the Abu Saibaa Youth Empowerment Center Sadiq Salman.
The coronation ceremony witnessed the champion being presented with gold medals and the championship cup, the runner-up being presented with silver medals, and honoring the final judging team consisting of arena referee Jaafar Mohsen, assistants Jamil Salman and Sayed Alawi Jalil, and the fourth referee Jaafar Abdul Rasoul.
The final also witnessed the honoring of the players who won individual awards, namely: the best player, Mustafa Al-Sakran, the best goalkeeper, Ahmed Abdel-Rasoul, the tournament’s top scorer, Sayed Diaa Hashem, the best emerging player, Abbas Al-Zaki, in addition to 3 exemplary players: Taqi Ahmed, Abbas Salman, and Ali Abdullah.
The closing ceremony also witnessed the honoring of the organizing, working, medical and media committees, in addition to the tournament sponsors.
It is worth noting that this year the tournament witnessed the participation of 8 teams distributed into two groups, 4 teams for each group, with a total of 112 players amidst a distinguished audience presence, as the tournament is considered one of the most prestigious popular tournaments with its arrival in the 35th edition.
