Abu Dhabi is hosting the Middle East premiere of Dune: Part Two, and the regional premiere of the film will take place on February 18, with director Denis Villeneuve and stars Josh Brolin and Dave Bautista on the red carpet.

Key scenes for the sequel will be filmed in the UAE capital in 2022, with the film’s star Timothée Chalamet sharing photos from the Empty Quarter after it finished.
Dune is based on the 1965 fantasy novel by Frank Herbert and follows the young noble Atreides and his family as they are thrust into violence and political warfare on the planet Arrakis, and stars Chalamet in the lead role, alongside Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgard, Dave Bautista, Charlotte Rampling, and Stephen McKinley.
