The Tender Board opened, in its weekly session yesterday, 15 government tenders, for which 73 bids from companies in various sectors competed.

Among the most prominent tenders that were opened was a tender for Bapco Exploration and Production Company specialized in supplying water tanks. Engineered design, including inspection, testing and site installation.

The tender description reads: This is for the procurement of Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) water tanks for storing water required for fire fighting systems at the Chemical Storage Yard – Y at the Supply Chain Management (SCM) warehouse. This is for the procurement of all associated equipment and components, installation, testing, commissioning and delivery of fire fighting and water supply systems at the Chemical Storage Yard – Y. This Chemical Storage Yard is divided into different zones (1, 2 and 3) to hold different types of chemicals, mainly hydrocarbon and water based. The fire fighting system will contain fire fighting pumps, tanks, pipes and other equipments, and the water supply system will contain equipments such as water tanks, pumps, plumbing, pipes and other related equipments to provide water for safe emergency bathing stations.

The Mechanical Contracting and Maintenance Company – LLC submitted a bid worth 103,781,000 dinars. ‬

Four tenders were also opened for Bapco Refining Company, while the Ministry of Interior won a tender to provide smart cameras to the Ministry of Interior. The tender was described as providing 500 traffic surveillance cameras for the General Traffic Department at the Ministry of Interior, by providing 300 cameras in the first year, 100 cameras in the second year, and 100 traffic cameras in the third year. 12 bids competed for the tender.

The Board also opened a tender for the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority for the Bahrain Holiday Season 2024 – Organizing and Implementing Promotional Platforms in Dubai and Kuwait. The tender description stated that the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority invites specialized companies to submit their bids for the tender to organize and implement promotional platforms in the GCC countries (Dubai and Kuwait) to promote the third edition of the Bahrain Holiday Season, with the aim of attracting tourists and visitors from the Gulf countries according to the scope of work specified in the tender documents.

Two companies competed for it, and the lowest bid was about 29,700 dinars from Design Arabia for Publicity & Advertising Co.

The Council also opened two tenders for the Ministry of Works, the first related to the development of Street 77, which is located between Abu Dhabi Street and Street 33. – Jurdab, 11 companies competed for it, and the lowest bid was about 674,999.528 dinars from the company JAHECON WLL, while the second tender was for the project to operate and maintain the two Khalifa City temporary sewage stations – Riyad Askar On the outside, 4 companies applied for it, and the lowest bid was 446,131.209 dinars.
