The administration General Tax Authority (AGT), with the support of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), will adopt, in the second quarter of this year, the aerial functionalities of the new customs management system, called ASYCUDA World (Automated Data Processing System Customs), reported the Angolan newspaper.
With the purpose of making the Cargo-XML format of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) mandatory for submitting manifests, AGT launches this Monday (15) the first seminar in a set of actions to be developed in the month of January, in order to align the details of air cargo information transported to Angola with international standards.
This Monday’s seminar, which addresses, among other aspects, concepts and system parameterization requirements and should respond to concerns regarding the process, aims to disseminate the IATA cargo manifest to airlines accredited in the country.
Among the airlines that must share information about flight frequencies to Angola with AGT, to allow timely work to implement functionalities, are South African Airways (SAA), Emiretes Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Air Namibia , British Airways, Sonair, Royal Air Maroc, KLM, Lufthansa, TAAG, TAP, Air France and Kenya Airways.
The IATA C-XML model Cargo Manifest integrated into the ASYCUDA World system allows increased efficiency, boosts growth and control of transactions and maximizes security in more than 90 countries.
Airlines, freight operators and agents can use global standards to send cargo manifest information to Customs in electronic format thanks to the AW system.
