MEXICO CITY (apro).-The Afterlife festival started with intense rain in Curve 4 of the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, keeping the energies of its faithful lit in a party of electronic music and digital art starring DJs MRAK and Anyma, additional join with his project Tale Of Us.
The festival opened its doors at four in the afternoon this Saturday, the crowds being greeted by a downpour while the main screen projected:
“This stage temporarily stops their performances. We will give you more information shortly. Thank you very much for your understanding”.
Attendees waited calmly and without setbacks, some seeking shelter and others enjoying soaking in a refreshing sunset in the face of the recent hot days in this city.
It was until 6:30 p.m. that Tláloc granted a truce, turning on the colossal screen that characterizes Afterlife, larger than usual. The celebration started with the British Malsano, in a download of beats to the rhythms of “Astral” and “Drown”.
Digital art shone from the opening, with the flagship figure of the festival being seen in the center of the plasma, a humanoid floating upside down in a wide variety of technological canvases, quickly catching the eye.
Those gathered danced from beginning to end of each cut, gathering especially waves of youth, as well as lovers of electronic music of yesteryear. The artists had an hour and a half on stage, with the Australian Cassian taking his turn singing “Aran” and “My City’s On Fire.”
The first special act of the night entitled “We Don’t Follow” was performed by the German MRAK, in a riot of projections illustrating Dantesque and celestial effigies.
The show expected by the public was led by the American Anyma with the act named “Genesys”, in an amazing futuristic conceptual journey of emotional cyborgs sliding on the screen.
People took advantage of every minute of their stay, including the fact that the format of the festival was changed, which usually ends until the sun appears on the horizon. For Mexico City it was modified, the concluding show took flight at 00:30 hours. MRAK and Anyma came together with their Tale Of Us project, with the partying fans enjoying every last beat, reaching the borders of two in the morning.
