Afghanistan defeated Pakistan by 18 runs in the three -nation series

Afghanistan has defeated Pakistan by 18 runs in the fourth match of the ongoing three -nation series in Sharjah.

Afghanistan won the toss and decided to bat first and gave Pakistan a target of 170 runs to win.

Apart from Fakhr Zaman and Harris Rauf in pursuit of this target, no Pakistan batsman could score more than 20 runs and the whole team could score a total score of 151.

Fakhr Zaman scored 25 off 18 balls while Harris Rauf was the team’s highest scorer with 34 runs.

Salman Agha scored 20 and Sabzada Farhan scored 18 while Fahim Ashraf scored 14 and Mohammad Nawaz scored 12.

This is the second match between Afghanistan and Pakistan in the three -nation series. Pakistan won the match earlier.

In the match played on Tuesday in Sharjah, Afghanistan won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 169 for five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

Afghanistan’s first wicket fell soon, but after that, Siddiqueullah Atal and Ibrahim Zadran took over the innings and kept pressure on Pakistan by scoring 113 runs in the second wicket partnership.

Both Afghan batsmen scored half centuries and Siddiqueullah Atal scored 64 and Ibrahim Zadran scored 65 runs.

After this good start, it seemed that the Afghan team would be able to get closer to the 200 digits, but Fahim Ashraf kept it from doing so.

Fahim Ashraf scored just 27 runs in four overs for four Afghan players.
