One time famous Tollywood actress Anjana Bhowmik passed away. He was 79 years old at the time of his death. He had been struggling with age-related ailments for a long time.
It is known that Anjana Bhowmik was admitted to the hospital on Friday (February 16) night when she developed respiratory problems. He breathed his last at 10:30 am on Saturday (February 17) morning at a hospital in South Kolkata. Anjana Bhowmick is mother of actress Nilanjana Sengupta and mother-in-law of Jesus Sengupta.

Anjana Bhowmik has acted in Bengali movies from the sixties to the eighties. Many viewers still remember this actress. Many movies like ‘Chowrangi’, ‘Thana Atte Ayaam’, ‘Nayika Sangbad’ have made a place in the minds of the audience.
Anjana Bhowmik and Uttam Kumar’s on-screen chemistry was loved by the audience. He was in hiding for many years. The two daughters Nilanjana and Chandana both acted at one time. Nilanjana is now a successful producer in Tellywood. Her husband, actor Jesus Sengupta, is playing Chutie. A few years ago Jesus-Neelanjana’s elder daughter i.e. Anjana’s granddaughter Sara made her debut in Tollywood with the movie ‘Uma’.
