On World Down Syndrome Day, this March 21, several activities were carried out in Zone 7 with the aim of strengthening quality and inclusive education.
The Ciudad de Loja No. 1 Specialized Education School actively participated. Students, teachers and administrators prepared a fun morning integrating artistic activities. The music group Son Especial from the Municipality of Loja was the one who opened the event, singing cumbias, adding a happy touch to the day.
In District 11D01 Loja – Education there are currently approximately 80 students with Down Syndrome who are part of the educational system; Of this group, 53 students attend Specialized Educational Institutions and 27 students attend ordinary educational institutions.
In commemoration of this day, the ordinary Specialized Educational Institutions together with the Inclusion Support Units (UDAI) developed recreational, recreational and awareness-raising activities for the educational community that promote social awareness regarding this condition. (YO)
