Departmental Volunteer and Municipal Firefighters reported a total of three traffic accidents during the morning and afternoon of this Sunday, March 10, 2024, resulting in two deaths and the same number of injuries. Volunteer firefighters attended to the first road accident on the highway that connects to Azacualpilla. Rescuers from 85 and 50 companies went to that place, confirming that a minor died due to general multiple trauma. Likewise, they confirmed the transfer of a patient to the San Juan de Dios General Hospital.

The second of the accidents occurred on the highway towards Champerico, where rescuers reported a deceased man.
Meanwhile, the Departmental Municipal Firefighters reported a third accident at kilometer 108 of the Atlantic Highway.
Therefore, the spokesman for the rescuers Cecilio Chacaj reported that the accident took place in the area of Usumatlán, Zacapa, and left a man injured.
