A woman in Fremantle, Perth, Australia, discovered three ‘stones’ that she thought were gems under a tree in front of her house.
There are many diverse opinions, from saying they are crystal or glass to saying they resemble “dinosaur eggs”.
Some people believe they resemble the eggs of a certain animal, while others feel they are more like reptile eggs.
The woman then felt worried when thinking about the possibility that they were the eggs of a poisonous snake. She reported the incident to the local agency, but did not receive an accurate answer.
Venomous snake handling expert, Tina Chenery, examined and confirmed that these “stones” were actually just unfertilized snake eggs.
According to her, this is common because some snakes in the nest are unable to reproduce. The color of unfertilized snake eggs can vary from yellow to black.
The expert advised the woman to leave them where they were, but she was still worried about the possibility that there were other unhatched eggs around.
She also could not determine which species of snake laid these eggs.
