The Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League was supposed to start on March 9. However, the league starts two days behind on March 11. On the first day, runner-up Sheikh Jamal will take the field along with current champion Abahani. This year’s league will be held without foreign cricketers. So all the light will be on the domestic cricketers. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the Dhaka League schedule in a press release on Thursday.
Pertex Sporting Club is the opponent of current champions Abahani at Mirpur Sher Bangla Stadium. Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club and Gazi Tires Cricket Academy will play at BKSP ground number 3. In the other match of the day, Prime Bank Cricket Club and Shinepukur Cricket Club will play at Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatulla.
The next day, the remaining six teams will play in three fields. A one-day break is given at the end of each round. The second round will be played on March 14 and 15 and the third round on March 17 and 18.
12 teams are participating in Dhaka league. Along with the top ten teams of the last season, two teams from the first division are participating this time.
