A boy who cannot respect another girl, a husband who cannot respect his wife, can never claim to be smart, said Junaid Ahmed Palak, Minister of State for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology.
He made this comment while speaking as the chief guest at the distribution of laptops among women trainees under the technology-assisted women’s empowerment project under the ICT department on Friday (March 8) afternoon. The event was organized at Narayanganj District Shilpakala Academy Auditorium.
Junaid Ahmed Palak said, if one person works in a family, a family becomes self-sufficient, but if someone becomes an entrepreneur, thousands of people are employed under him. We have 690,000 freelancers, over 50,000 call center executives. Altogether we have employment of 3 million people in the ICT sector.
The state minister also said that 15 years ago, Narayanganj was dark and full of terror. Today I came here from Sangsad Bhawan in 40 minutes. This was not even possible to imagine before. Six lane work is going on here, Sheikh Kamal IT Center is coming up. These are the dream projects of MP Shamim Osman. By using the talent of youth with training, capital, technology, our youth will meet the needs of the country and freelance according to the needs of the developed country.
Under the chairmanship of Narayanganj District Commissioner Mohammad Mahmudul Haque, Narayanganj-5 Constituent Member of Parliament Salim Osman, Narayanganj-4 Constituent Member of Parliament Shamim Osman and Narayanganj District Council Chairman Chandansheel were present as special guests.
After the speech, Shamim Osman requested Junaid Ahmed Palak’s wife Arifa Jasmine Kanika to perform a song. On his request, the state minister sang ‘Sei Tumi’ on stage. At that time, everyone present in the auditorium, including the guests on the stage, met him.
