A three-day-old baby was found in a backpack in a coffee plantation

Last Tuesday, National Police patrols found a three-day-old baby in a coffee plantation in the rural area of Riosucio, Caldas, Colombia. The officers found the little girl in a backpack, hidden among the vegetation.

The authorities decided to name her “Milagros” in honor of her amazing rescue. It is worth noting that the first to raise the alarm were the dogs in the area, who began to bark insistently, attracting the attention of the neighbors. Upon investigating the origin of the noise, they discovered the baby in precarious conditions.

According to Noticias Caracol, agent Yesica Andrea Guapucha, who found Milagros, described the moment as a true miracle. “Milagros came into the world to remind us of the value of life and the power of hope. When I found her, I knew I was witnessing a miracle,” she said.

The baby was later transferred to a nearby medical center for specialized care. Fortunately, Milagros was in stable condition at the time of the rescue, although she will remain under surveillance to ensure that no additional health problems arise.

Following the discovery, local authorities have launched a search to locate the baby’s mother, whose whereabouts are unknown.
