A citizen was arrested today after midnight in Ioannina by police officers of the Ioannina Security Sub-Directorate, against whom a criminal case was filed for violation of the legislation on foreigners.
In particular, during the police check, it was established that the citizen was transporting an irregular immigrant in his taxi, whom, as it turned out, he had picked up earlier from the area of Patras, with the intention of transporting him to the city of Ioannina.
The above vehicle, 510 euros found in the driver’s possession, as well as 3 mobile phones were confiscated.
The arrested person was taken to the Prosecutor’s Office of Primary Ioannina.
