Moroccan director Rachid Moheb chose the red city of Marrakesh and the alleys of Casablanca to film scenes for a new film titled “Jack Boat,” which is expected to be released in Moroccan cinemas in the coming few months after it has been packaged and the final artistic touches have been put on it.

This new film falls under the category of commercial films, and its story takes place in a dramatic comedy format and sheds light on a young woman from a working-class neighborhood who decides to enter the world of social media and practice influence under the name “Samia Star” in order to improve her financial situation. She then meets three young men from her neighborhood and helps them achieve their dreams of making money, and they then find themselves in strange situations after they get involved in manipulating the financial markets via the Internet.

In this cinematic work, Rashid Moheb addresses the phenomenon of cybercrime, which has become widespread in recent years, in addition to the influence of social media platforms and the illusions that content creators sell to young people who follow them and who are influenced by the appearance of singing and the rosy life that is marketed to them without prior knowledge of what is going on behind the scenes.

The movie “Jack Boat” features the participation of a group of Moroccan drama stars, most notably the great actress Naima Bouhamala, who returns to the world of cinema after an absence, the great actor Abdelilah Ajil, Rafiq Boubaker, Omar Lotfi, Najat Al-Wafi, and Wessal Perez, in addition to other artistic names.

The retired security man and YouTuber Abdelkader Al-Kharraz, who is known for his police stories, also participates in the work, as he is undergoing his second experience in the world of acting by embodying the role of a policeman in the film.
