A Swedish man put 81 matches into his nostrils for the sake of his children.

Sometimes adults are willing to do amazing things just for one child’s “wow.” This is exactly what happened to Swedish resident Martin Streby, who once found his children reading the Guinness Book of Records. The guys looked at the pages with delight, sighed and joked that their dad, too, could easily get into the world book of achievements if only he tried a little, Liter.kz reports with reference to website Guinness Book of Records.

This phrase, said half-jokingly, for some reason really touched Martin. He decided to prove to his children that their father is capable of more than they think. The man again opened the Book of Records and began to look for something unusual, accessible, but at the same time quite spectacular. So he came across a strange, almost absurd category – the largest number of matches simultaneously thrust into the nostrils.

The old record was 68 matches. Martin decided he could do more.

“According to the record holder himself, he was surprised at his own abilities: his nostrils turned out to be unexpectedly elastic, and the stretching caused almost no discomfort. He honestly admitted that he had come up with a little trick so that the matches would not fall out, but the man refused to reveal the secret – “let at least something remain a secret,” the organizers noted.

The process itself took several minutes, but the result was impressive: Martin was able to place 81 matches in his nostrils, officially surpassing his previous achievement. The children watching the experiment literally glowed with delight. Now they sincerely consider their father to be the coolest person in the world.

For Martin himself, this was also a small victory. He not only entered the world history of extravagant records, but also proved to children that adults are also capable of improvisation, courage and a bit of madness.
