The trend of currency strengthening against the ruble may continue until the end of the year and the beginning of 2024.
Publkika.az reports that it was said by candidate of economic sciences, financial analyst Mikhail Belyaev. In a conversation with Lenta.ru, the famous economist explained what awaits the ruble in the future.
The expert believes that the exchange rate of currencies depends on the general state of the country’s economy. According to him, although the depreciation of the ruble will not affect the stability of the Russian economy, it will have a negative effect on the instability of the exchange rate.
“Our advantages in the economy are mainly related to the military-industrial complex, and this is a specific part of the economy. Of course, the growth of this sector is favorable for the economy, but its efficiency is not high enough to affect the exchange rate.
According to Belyayev’s forecast, the exchange rate of the dollar will be at least 92 and at most 95 rubles. He admitted that the euro could reach 102-103 rubles. The economist noted that against the background of the dollar appreciation, speculative forces may begin to affect the corrections. Whether the exchange rate will hold then will depend on how the government adjusts market factors.
