After its success in the “Riyadh Season”, Morocco is preparing to host huge concerts entitled “Masterpieces of Al-Mogi”. These concerts come to honor the late Egyptian musician Mohamed Al-Mogi, who is considered one of the most famous composers in the history of Arabic music and who left his special mark on it over the decades.

These concerts will be held as part of strengthening cultural cooperation between Morocco and Egypt, and celebrating the rich artistic legacy left by the late musician Al-Mogi, which still resonates in the Arab world today.

On September 26, the Megarama Hall in Casablanca will host the first evening, which will be presented by Yahya Al-Mougy, who will take the audience on a journey to enjoy the most famous musical pieces and creations that have enriched the Arab musical treasury.

On September 27, the Mohammed V National Theater in Rabat will also host the second tribute concert as part of the “Masterpieces of Al-Mogi” events; an opportunity to showcase the musical excellence of one of the most skilled Arab composers, and will allow the Moroccan public to enjoy music that has been passed down through generations.

Mohamed El Mougi is considered one of the most prominent pillars of music in the twentieth century, and has many immortal works in which he collaborated with great Arab singers such as Umm Kulthum, Abdel Halim Hafez, and Fayza Ahmed. His musical contributions were characterized by renewal and innovation, and he succeeded in blending authenticity and modernity; which made his melodies widely popular over decades, and he has more than 1800 melodies to his credit.
