In the last week, the rate of new coronavirus infection per 100,000 people was 54.47 and increased by 32.8% compared to the previous week. The report noted that 27 regions, including Moscow, are spreading faster than average.
Information about the identity of the dead is not disclosed, but the former adviser to the UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, microbiologist and diplomat, former member of the UN Biological and Chemical Weapons Commission Igor Nikulin claimed in an interview that the new strain is of laboratory origin and mainly affects Slavs.
