FIRES GUN Wounding MUNICIPAL COUNCIL
The tour of the television crew, specifically the show of Nikos Manesis, early on Sunday afternoon, in the area of the old water mill of Palaiopyrgos in the Municipality of Pogoni, Prefecture of Ioannina, almost ended in tragedy. Specifically and according to information from residents of the area, everything happened when the 33-year-old Municipal Councilor of the Municipality of Pogoni, a military man by profession, was guiding the television crew of the show around, he was shot by a 65-year-old man from the same group, with a carbine he brought with him and he possessed legally, with the intention of hunting in the area, as it was his favorite pastime.
However, according to the same information, the carbine went off as it slipped as he was holding it in his hand, as a result of which fortunately the Municipal Councilor, who was carelessly carrying out the work of the tour, was slightly injured.
He was immediately taken to the Delvinaki Health Center for first aid, where the doctors treated his minor injuries to his arm and leg.
The accident could have turned into a real tragedy, but luck was on the side of the Municipal Councilor and according to all evidence there was no intention.
