Farmers started a demonstration in the center of Warsaw, the capital of Poland. They are protesting against the “Green Road” environmental strategy of the European Union. Up to 200,000 people are expected to participate. Onet news platform reports about this.
The protesters gathered in the square in the center of the capital, in front of the city hall. In addition to the farmers, leading politicians of the largest opposition and former ruling party “Law and Justice” joined the demonstration.
Farmers are also collecting signatures for the purpose of organizing a referendum on Poland’s participation in the “Green Route”.
The organizers of the protest plan that 200,000 people will participate in the demonstration. The demonstration may last until 22:00 local time.
From February 9, Polish farmers started holding large-scale protests.
