A Mi-8 helicopter worth more than 10 million dollars was destroyed in Russia

“On April 17, 2024, a transport helicopter was destroyed at the Krijazh airfield in the Samara region. The aggressor used this helicopter in the war against Ukraine to transport weapons and personnel,” the report said.

Representatives of the service note that the cost of this type of helicopter can range from 10 to 15 million dollars.

Earlier it was also reported that on the night of April 17 there were explosions in the Russian-occupied Crimean peninsula near the Dzhankoya military airfield, according to the “Astra” channel of the “Telegram” app and other local media.

Local residents say that the explosions rang out even before the air raid alert was announced.

The 39th helicopter regiment of the Russian army, which consists of three squadrons of Mi-8, Mi-35M, Mi-28 and Ka-52 helicopters, is deployed at Dzhankoya airfield.
