According to information posted on the Mash Telegram channel, the man above was holding his 9-month-old child in his arms while saving more than 50 other children from a burning building.

For a successful rescue, the man gathered the group of children, ensuring they moved out in a calm and orderly manner. At a critical moment, this person even temporarily gave his child to a stranger to free his hands to break through the barricaded door. Thanks to this father’s determination and courage, the small guests of the complex avoided casualties.

The hero’s family, including the rescued baby, were among the last to leave the building. They escaped through the subway station located next to Crocus City Hall.

The Crocus City Hall concert center, which seats more than 6,000 people, is part of a large, upscale complex that includes a shopping mall and multiple exhibition halls. On the evening of March 22, a terrorist attack occurred at this concert center, killing 133 people and injuring more than 150 others.

The self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) group claimed responsibility for the attack. Video from the scene showed the attackers opening fire outside the entrance to the concert hall, located in a building known as Pavilion 3. Several other videos showed them also opening fire inside the theater.

Russian investigators said the attackers also set fire to the building using a combination of explosives and flammable liquids, trapping the wounded inside and poisoning some victims with smoke. The fire caused part of the roof to collapse.
