Receiving the news, the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department, Bac Giang Provincial Police together with Bac Giang City Police dispatched 5 vehicles and many officers and soldiers to the scene to fight the fire and overcome the consequences. .
“The house that burned was a residential house, designed as a tube house,” Mr. Dinh said.
According to Mr. Dinh, the authorities determined that the fire started in the middle of the first floor of the 2-story house. At the fire scene, police discovered a washing machine and an electric bicycle. The cause of the fire may be due to an electrical short circuit.
Mr. Ngo Quoc Tien, the neighbor who discovered the fire, said that at about 3:40, he woke up to see a lot of smoke behind the victim’s house.
Immediately, he went to the front and knocked on the door to notify his family, but no one came to open the door. Mr. Tien used the ladder to climb to the second floor to break the glass door and heard a child crying hoarsely.
“I just had time to shout and attract his attention so he could open the door. However, after only about a minute after knocking on the door, smoke, fire and broken glass bounced back, so I couldn’t do anything.” Mr. Tien said.
Initially, the authorities identified 3 deaths including: Ms. Dao Thi H (born 1982, homeowner), Luong Anh N (born 2016, Ms. H’s son) and Mr. Nguyen Van Ng (born 1977). , hometown in Dong Moi hamlet, Dao My commune, Lang Giang district, Bac Giang.
Authorities are currently investigating and clarifying the cause of the fire.
