“You think you’re drinking real Coca-Cola,” says a hotelier in a video that went viral on social networks. In this video, together with his son and recorded from the kitchen of his restaurant, he explained the secret of many restaurants, at least in the past, according to the protagonist, to earn much more with the drinks they sell. “If I told you that Coca-Cola costs twenty cents, would you believe it?“, he asked.
A bad practice that would be eradicated
“In some factories it was sold, I don’t think they are sold today“says the hotelier who explained how many customers have been defrauded to increase profits with drinks. In the following video you can see the complete explanation:
“Coca Cola twenty cents at which people who are not of the house come to sell it“, the hotelier continued with his explanation. “How is it possible that for you a Coca-Cola is worth less than what you need at home? “I’ll explain how”, he continued in a video in which, in detail, he wanted to explain how this bad practice would be organised.
His son, introduced during the recording, wanted to come to his father’s rescue, to prevent the intention with which they recorded the video from being misinterpreted:”Dad, you’ve made it clear that all of this is for informational purposes and that it must not be done at home under any circumstances”, which the hotelier himself confirmed: “In no case has this been clarified, right?”, having said this, he continued with the explanation.
The bottle that is filled with another bottle
In the end it’s a scam for customers and for the soda brand itself which organizes itself in a simple way: “Guys, here I have Coca-Cola. I’ll have Coca-Cola. They do it, or we did it, come on. Now there is no longer any trap or cardboard”, she justified. “Now there are the Guardia Civil, the Ministry of the Treasury…” she wanted to list to try to reassure those who are watching the video.
“This was done then, not anymore,” after which he continued, “This bottle of Coca-Cola that I just bought is worth one euro to me“, he assured, indicating the typical two-liter bottle of the well-known soft drink that is sold in department stores and other places.
“One of these Coca-Colas [las pequeñas] “They’re worth eighty cents to me,” he said, “out of that bottle, that’s the big one, I get ten, that’s the small ones.”In other words, each Coke costs me ten cents.“, he explained this secret that many other restaurateurs will have put into practice.
“And you say, well yes, very good, and what are you doing, do you serve it like this?”, without a cork on the bottle. “No no no. It’s that easy, there’s a crown holder. A crown holder is this“, he showed the camera with an object that helps him put the caps back on the bottles, after filling them with a funnel. “Here, we put a crown, do you see it here? Look how easy it is, authentic Coca-Cola, ten cents,” he said.
